Jennie Fabianski is from Dalton, GA, where she began singing at a very early age. Once she got into high school, she continued her singing by participating in chorus & musicals, as well as taking guitar class, taking piano lessons at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Cadek Conservatory and also took up volleyball. Jennie graduated from Reinhardt University with a Bachelor in Music Education in 2007, and again in 2012 with a Masters in Conducting. While at Reinhardt, she also played volleyball and was a member of the inaugural team.
Jennie is about to start her 16th year of teaching, all of which have been a Chattahoochee High School in Johns Creek, GA. |
In the first 2 years, she was an Assistant Chorus Director, Freshmen Volleyball Coach, & Assistant Volleyball Coach for Varsity.
She was hired to be the Head Chorus Director and Volleyball Coach in the spring of 2009. Since then, the chorus program has traveled to the Bahamas, Disney & NYC, receiving superior ratings, as well as winning region and state level competitions in Literary Meet.
Jennie is also the Musical Director for Musical Theater class. Some of her favorite shows she has gotten to direct at Hooch are Avenue Q In Concert, Bat Boy, Chicago, Sweeney Todd, Grease, Little Shop of Horrors, Elf: The Musical, Jr., Hairspray, Failure: A Love Story, Clue the Musical, Mamma Mia & Cabaret. Jennie has been nominated for Shuler Awards for Best Musical Direction, Best Orchestra Direction and Best Lighting Design, as well as honorable mention for Musical Direction, Choreography & Technical Execution. The past 4 years, she was a Teacher of the Year Nominee and Finalist three times.
Jennie also loves performing in the community. Some of her favorite roles include The King & I (Wife/Tuptim), The Rocky Horror Show (Janet Weiss), Ruthless: The Musical (Ruth DelMarco), Hairspray (Tracy, Love Letters (Melissa Gardner) & Rock of Ages (Sherrie Christian). She has been nominated for a Metropolitan Atlanta Theatre Award for Best Actress in Musical.
Jennie currently resides in Cumming, GA. She is married to her wonderful husband, Kevin, has 2 sweet little boys, Liam & Owen, and a lovely lady, Evelyn.
